PEOPLECERT was the main sponsor of Digital Trends 2011, co-organised by the European Council of IT professionals (CEPIS) and the Hellenic Professionals Informatics Society (HεPIS), that took place in Greece.
The event’s sponsorship further demonstrates PEOPLECERT’s commitment to the IT industry and follows the organization’s participation in a series of global events, including key European itSMF conferences, the First Iberian-American Congress of Best Practices in ITSM and Project Management in Seville and Fusion 2011 in Washington.
Digital Trends 2011 was the first forum in Greece to initiate dialogue on the contribution of the ICT sector to the economic growth, increased productivity and the adoption of Green and Cloud practices within the business community. The aim of the event was to bring together professionals from leading organizations, representatives of the European Commission and academics, to discuss key issues covering Green ICT and Cloud Computing, through a stimulating one day session of presentations and panel discussions. More than 250 people attended the event, where acclaimed global speakers such as Tom Raftery, Chris Wallace and John Rhoton, representatives from leading companies such as EMC and European Commission officials, provided a global insight, sharing market intelligence and best practices.
‘Being the main sponsors of such a key industry event allows us to understand market needs and proactively develop solutions and services that match today’s IT professionals’ requirements. Ultimately, it makes us a more valuable partner for all our customers’, says Constantinos Kesentes, PEOPLECERT’s Group General Manager.
