Update: December 2025
We are pleased to confirm the dates for implementing the updated names for the certifications and digital badges.
- PRINCE2 7 Certificate will remain the same until w/c 12 January 2026. From 15 January 2026, PRINCE2 Project Management certificates will be changed to PRINCE2 Project Management [Foundation/Practitioner] VERSION 7
- PRINCE2 Project Management Digital Badges will also be updated to include VERSION 7
- All e-certificates and digital badges will be retrospectively updated with the new name from 15 January 2026
- Please note: the updated naming for certificates and digital badges may take 24-48 hours to update across all platforms where a candidate may have shared them
- Official assets (e.g. Official Book, OTMs) for all languages will be updated by w/c 19 January 2026 to v7.2. Please refer to this article https://www.peoplecert.org/Partners/support/Articles/learning-resources-updates for release dates for each language.
The following actions are recommended for partners where applicable to their organization:
- Course Listings
- These should now be listed as PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation/Practitioner VERSION 7
- Any supporting documentation for the training delivery should also reflect the new name of the certification.
- Marketing and communication materials (such as press releases, website, marketing material, etc.)
- These should be updated to reflect the new product name and version. Therefore, any use of PRINCE2 7 should be replaced with PRINCE2 Project Management (Version 7).
- Official Training Materials
- These were all updated in June 2025 for English, and all languages will be updated to the new version by w/c 19 January 2026
