"Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew" Award 2026

PeopleCert Honours Athanasios Martinos and Invests in the Future of the Greek Community through Education 

At a distinguished ceremony held at the Marasleio School in Constantinople, in the presence of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, PeopleCert presented the "Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew" Award 2026 to Mr. Athanasios Martinos. 

The award recognizes his longstanding and selfless contribution to education, community institutions, and the preservation of the Greek community's historical legacy in Istanbul. Through his unwavering support of educational, ecclesiastical, and community institutions, Mr. Martinos has played a pivotal role in preserving and revitalizing key pillars of the Greek Orthodox community

PeopleCert Founder and Chairman Mr. Byron Nicolaides described Mr. Martinos as a modern-day national benefactor who continues the legacy of Hellenism's great benefactors. He emphasized that the true value of his contribution is reflected not only in the projects he has supported, but above all in the institutions that continue to thrive and serve future generations. 

The award ceremony paid tribute to individuals whose vision, dedication, and sense of responsibility continue to strengthen education, preserve historical heritage, and help secure the future of the Greek community of Istanbul.
