Terms of Participation and Privacy Policy for the 3rd Cycle of the Scholarship Programme “Honouring Our Teachers from Constantinople”
A. Specific Terms & Conditions of Participation
1. Organiser
PeopleCert S.A. (hereinafter referred to as the “Organiser”) is conducting the 3rd Cycle of the Scholarship Programme “Honouring Our Teachers from Constantinople” (hereinafter referred to as the “Programme” or the “Scholarship Programme”), offering exceptional students the opportunity to pursue their postgraduate or doctoral studies at any institution worldwide.
2. Application Process
2.1. Interested applicants must submit the relevant online application form, available on the website https://www.peoplecert.org/scholarships, by the specified deadline indicated in the respective application form. The Organiser reserves the right to extend the application deadline, with any such extension being announced exclusively on the website https://www.peoplecert.org/scholarships.
2.2. The application must be accompanied by all required supporting documents, as explicitly detailed on the application page, within the designated timeframe. In all cases, supporting documents must be submitted before the interview stage and no later than 15 March 2025.
3. Eligibility
3.1. Eligible applicants for the Scholarship Programme are postgraduate students or doctoral candidates, who can demonstrate up to second-generation descent from Istanbul, Imvros, or Tenedos, regardless of their place of study or residence.
3.2. Applicants must have successfully completed their undergraduate studies and be currently enrolled in postgraduate or doctoral studies or have been formally accepted into a corresponding programme.
3.3. Applicants who have already completed their postgraduate or doctoral studies are not eligible for the Scholarship Programme.
4. Evaluation Process for Scholarship Selection
4.1. The selection of candidates for the Scholarship Programme shall be conducted through an evaluation process carried out by a designated Committee.
4.2. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview in April 2025.
4.3. The evaluation results will be announced by 30 April 2025.
5. Funding
Each scholarship may cover up to eight thousand euros (€8,000) for the 2024-2025 academic year or the following one.
6. Role & Participation of Scholarship Recipients
Scholarship recipients may be invited by the Organiser to participate in photography and video recordings or as Speakers in order to contribute to future initiatives and activities aimed at promoting and communicating the Scholarship Programme.
B. General Terms & Conditions
1. Terms of Use
1.1. By using the website https://www.peoplecert.org/scholarships (including any additional related webpages) and participating in the Scholarship Programme, you acknowledge and accept these Specific and General Terms & Conditions of Participation. Any breach of these Terms by a participant shall constitute grounds for the immediate termination of their participation in the Scholarship Programme.
1.2. Furthermore, the completion of your participation details, as required by the online application form available at https://www.peoplecert.org/scholarships presupposes that you have been informed about the Privacy Policy.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
All information provided or made available to participants within the framework of the Scholarship Programme, as well as any content included in the educational material (including but not limited to documents, images, videos, photographs, logos, and trademarks) distributed or provided as part of the Programme, remains the exclusive property of the Organiser, its business partners, and collaborators, who retain all intellectual property rights associated with such materials.
C. Personal Data Protection Policy
1. Data Controller
The Organiser, acting as the Data Controller, complies with and takes all appropriate measures in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 and the applicable legislation regarding the processing of Candidates’ personal data.

Personal data will be retained for the period necessary to evaluate applications, manage the event, and complete the relevant follow-up actions (e.g. granting scholarships or final reporting).

The Data Controller implements all necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data, preventing alteration, damage, disclosure, or unauthorised access by third parties.
