What is Scrum?

Scrum is an agile framework that helps teams work together to develop, deliver, and manage complex software products. It increases team productivity by encouraging team players to learn through experiences, to self-organise, and to continuously improve output. 
 
IT teams use Scrum to develop, deliver, and maintain complex software products However, the principles of this framework can be applied to all kinds of areas including research, sales, marketing, and customer support, amongst others.

What are the benefits of Scrum certification?

Whether a Scrum beginner or a seasoned professional, this certification provides a significant advantage to any professional aiming to motivate and act as a team leader. The PeopleCert Scrum Master credential verifies that the candidate has the skills necessary to lead an agile team successfully.

I already have a lot of experience in this area – could I take the PeopleCert Scrum exam without doing the training?

Yes, however training through an accredited partner is highly recommended for both exams. Training ensures that you have a better understanding of the overall framework and you are sufficiently prepared to sit your exam.

What languages are the exams available in?

While exams are currently only available in English, more translations will be released soon. 

How long will it take for me to receive my exam results?

Provisional results are available immediately after you finish the exam and official results are available within 2 business days.

What score do I have to earn to pass the exam?

The pass mark is 70% (28 out of 40 questions).

What if I don’t pass the exam the first-time round? Can I retake it?

You may take the exam as many times as you wish. You may also want to consider adding the Take2 option when booking, allowing you to retake your exam at a fraction of the price.

How can I showcase my PeopleCert Scrum certification in a digital way?

PeopleCert awards all successful candidates with a digital badge, to showcase their achievements on their LinkedIn profile, CV, website, email signature and networking sites.

When will I receive my certificate?

Your online certificate will be available for you to download within two business days upon successful exam completion. If you have ordered a printed copy, it will be mailed to you shortly afterwards.

Are there any renewals or updates I will be required to do once I am certified to ensure that my certification status stays current?

There are no requirements for re-certification.
